Benefits of Oils and Additives

Castor Oil

In soap castor oil helps to lock in the moisture, reduce dryness and the buildup of dead skin.  It also is a great oil to help produce the bubbles in soaps.

Hemp Oil

Contains many vitamins, minerals and fatty acids that are great for the skin.  Hemp oil will not strip your skin.  It helps in the healing process of sun damaged skin.  It also contains anti-aging properties.

Shea Butter

The properties in Shea Butter are like that of your own skin which allows it to be easily absorbed into your skin.  It is soothing to your skin and helps in the healing process as well.  It has anti-aging and anti-bacterial properties.

Cocoa Butter

This butter is high in fatty acids that help to hydrate and nourish your skin and improve elasticity.  Cocoa Butter forms a protective barrier to hold moisture in. Cocoa Butter is great for helping to smooth scars, wrinkles, and other marks on the skin.  It helps in the healing process of eczema and dermatitis.

Coconut Oil

Is a natural anti-fungal, anti-bacterial and moisturizer.  It contains lots of vitamins and healthy fats.  Coconut oil is known to be an antioxidant which helps in the treatment of eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis.  It is also a super cleanser and produces large bubbles in soap.

 

Olive Oil

Helps to improve the texture of skin, eczema, and signs of aging.  It is hypoallergenic which means that everyone can use it without any adverse reactions.  It can penetrate the skin without clogging the pores.

 

Avocado Oil

Rich in vitamin A, B, D and E.  Avocado oil is very moisturizing, easily absorbed into the skin.  It is also great for creating a nice lather is soap.

 

Safflower Oil

Is high in antioxidants and fatty acids that are good for moisturizing the skin.  It is also a very mild oil on the skin.

 

Canola Oil

It is an antioxidant and will protect your skin.  Canola oil helps to combat premature aging and soothes dry irritated skin.

 

Lard(Tallow)

Beef and Pork lard are both great for your skin as the properties are like human skin.  It makes a great moisturizer and conditioner.

 

Sweet Almond Oil

When used in soap making, Sweet Almond oil produces a rich conditioning lather. High in Vitamins E, A and D as well as Oleic and Linoleic fatty acids, this oil is perfect for soothing dry, flaky, and irritated skin. It is said to be beneficial for skin ailments like rashes, psoriasis, and eczema.

 

Mango Butter

Eliminates itchy and dry skin and helps to prevent wrinkles. Protects you from UV Rays.  Mango butter is effective in preventing inflammation and itching caused by dry skin. Mango butter adds luxurious conditioning and moisturizing values as well to cold processed soap.

 

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is super beneficial for your skin.  It is easily absorbed into your skin, anti-aging, long lasting moisturizer, nutritious (contains vitamins E & B, antioxidants and minerals), non-acnegenic (does not cause acne when applied to the face), soothes sunburn and Dry skin, and it is anti-microbial meaning that it deters bacteria growth on the skin.

 

Babassu Oil

Is rich in healthy fatty acids like lauric and myristic acids.  The fatty acids are anti-inflammatory, potentially immune boosting, anti-bacterial, and moisturizing.  Which makes this great for both skin and hair.
